Sir Geoffrey's Gallant Games

If Dungeons & Dragons, the television show American Gladiators, and The Kentucky Derby had a baby, "Sir Geoffrey's Gallant Games" would be their love child. 

Sir Geoffrey’s Gallant Games is a supplement for the fifth edition of the world's most popular tabletop roleplaying game utilizing a series of skill challenges with a non-lethal (mostly) battle at the end of the tournament.

Players and the Game Master often get bogged down in a campaign with the same old combat, roleplay, side quest, combat, side quest, rinse & repeat. Or perhaps the party just finished a serious somber moment in the campaign and need a bit of lively shenanigans. Sir Geoffrey’s Gallant Games offers a break from a D&D campaign’s weekly grind and provides an opportunity to play a fun, light hearted game session utilizing various skill checks and roleplay to progress the narrative of the competition instead of hack n' slash combat.

● The first event in Sir Geoffrey’s Gallant Games is an obstacle course for player characters to race through using a variety of skill checks and a handful of DEX saves. The course is designed to test player character athletic abilities and mettle.

● The second part of the competition finds the player characters representing a noble house whilst mounted on a pasture raised temperamental “terror bird” during an Axe Beak Race. This offers a perfect opportunity for the GM to immerse player characters in the geopolitical intrigue of your RPG campaign, as the noble houses attending the event bring secrets, intrigue, and high court drama with them. The vendor market also offers roleplay opportunities, a chance to explore, a place to purchase performance enhancing elixirs, and possibly eat some temporary hit point rewards. 

● After a short rest the player characters finish off Sir Geoffrey’s Gallant Games with an arena battle and a feast! Choose from either a non-lethal PvP(player vs. player) arena battle or PvE (players vs. a team of NPCs). Healers are nearby to heal contestants after the battle. 

At the end of each of the three competitions winners are awarded prizes. If a competitor wins all three competitions they also receive a trained Axe Beak mount with custom crafted studded leather armor barding, bridle, and saddle courtesy of The Gallant Family Farms. 

Approximate game time is 3-6 hours.
